Dan Aykroyd made an appearance at one of our stores and although he signed lots of movie memorabilia for his devoted fans, promoting his movie career was not the reason he was in town. He was here to sign bottles and promote his two wines and his latest venture…Crystal Head Vodka.
Over the last several years, Dan has added vintner and vodka producer to his legendary resume of acting, performing, producing, writing and singing. His foray into the wine and spirits world actually began when he helped distributors to get Patron tequila imported into Canada. He was then approached by Diamond Estates in Niagara about producing a line of wines that he jumped at the chance to be involved in. He is now an owner of 4 vineyards in Niagara that produce what he calls “powerful world-class wines.” He has many varietals available in his native Canada and now has 2 wines (a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Chardonnay) that he has managed to replicate for sale here in the US out of the De Loach Vin
