Greeter / Asset Protection Associate

The general description of the position is a person to work on the retail sales floor for the duration of the shift, greeting guests, assisting them to locate their products, stock shelves, front shelves, and at the same time to monitor for and deter shoplifting.
Typical schedule 12– 8 pm Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, plus one other day.

Job Description

  • Protects the assets of ABC Fine Wine & Spirits through the practice of deterrence.
  • Assists in the investigation of shoplifting, including gathering witness statements, analyzing situations and evidence and securing relevant evidence.
  • Deters and reports internal theft.
  • Protects the assets of the company by monitoring to ensure a safe and clean environment.

Job Requirements

  • Greets all guests, directs guests to desired product, monitors for shoplifting

  • Ability to communicate both oral and written communication.

Manager Trainee

  • Reconciles cash with sales receipts, keeps operating records, and prepares daily paperwork for office

  • Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices
  • Answers customer's complaints or inquiries
  • Locks and secures store
  • Checks identification of customers and enforces age requirements

Store Manager

SUMMARY: Learns ABC Operation to manage retail store engaged in selling alcoholic beverages and related lines of merchandise by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Assisting the store manager to prepare work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.
  • Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares, or directs workers preparing, merchandise displays.
  • Supervises employees engaged in sales work, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, and preparing paperwork for office, or performs work of subordinates, as needed.
  • Orders merchandise to replenish stock on hand and reviews orders of subordinates.
  • Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, housekeeping and recordkeeping procedures and practices.
  • Answers customer's complaints or inquiries. Locks and secures store.
  • Checks identification of customers and enforces age requirements. Insures compliance with Beverage Laws.
  • Attends regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Candidate is required to attend all company wide training classes as well as the leadership training classes.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Other duties and/or projects, as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages up to 3 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 1 to 20 employees on the other shifts. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises up to 20 non-supervisory employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or possess some college coursework (or college degree),
Or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, proportions, percentages, gross profit and volume.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Must be certified responsible vendor. Must have current driver’s license. Must have a clean criminal record in accord with state legal requirements.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Familiarity with brands of alcoholic beverages.

Sales Clerks

Below is a list of duties you may be asked to perform while on the job:

  • Unloads, transports, and stocks alcoholic beverages and other merchandise as needed
  • Pulls stock from stockroom to floor; works overflow areas
  • Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise
  • Sets up displays and arranges merchandise to promote sales
  • Marks or tags price on merchandise
  • Stocks beer and wine coolers; bags ice and stocks ice bins
  • Prepares stock for inventory
  • Stocks beer and wine coolers
  • Cleans stockroom, shelves, counters, tables, hallway, coolers, beer boxes, rest rooms, exterior of premises, and other work areas
  • Empties wastebaskets; transports trash/waste to disposal area
  • Replenishes supplies (including restrooms) and replaces light bulbs
  • Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer
  • Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise
  • Wraps or bags merchandise for customers; carry packages to customer's car
  • Complies with the Beverage Laws
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time


Wine Sales Consultant

Below is a list of duties you may be asked to perform while on the job:

  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Compiles and maintains lists of prospective and current customers for use as sales leads, based on information from various sources
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to visit with regular and prospective customers to solicit orders
  • Talks with customers on sales floor by phone

  • Merchandises and rotates product in accordance with company guidelines
  • Displays and demonstrates products, using samples or written materials, and emphasizes salable features
  • Attends sales meetings at Corporate Office
  • Attends trade seminars and tastings
  • Trains and teaches salespersons through classes and daily contacts
  • Assists in displaying and merchandising products
  • Remains current with trade periodicals and literature
  • Checks identification of customers and enforces age requirements
  • Insures compliance with the beverage laws
